This affects all the current Antares product range. If you need to use the software on another computer, you simply unplug the iLok from one computer and plug it into another computer and as long as both computers have the software installed, whichever computer has the iLok plugged in, will be able to use the software. With the iLok system, you deposit your licenses on a dedicated USB dongle called an iLok. This isn’t an issue for people who only ever work on one single computer, but for anyone who wants to use a single license across more than one computer, then with machine authorisation systems, you have to first the deauthorise one computer before authorising another computer. As Korey says, with the latest version of Auto-Tune Pro (V9.1), Antares has changed the licensing system they use from iLok to Wibu licensing, which works within Antares Central and authorises the computer you are using it on. Perfect Space is that way.For example, we saw this tweet from Korey Pereira from Soularity Sound. In the latter case, the plugin may have a setting somewhere for latency, so that you can override the plugin's default latency. In the former case, it may depend on the plugin's parameters you set. Sometimes the plugin has a mathematical need to see more data than the usual low-latency buffer full, but sometimes it is just trying to be more efficient. so basically it is a bad memory-management (either on the Cubase or in the plugin side)Īpparently a plugin can announce a delay requirement to the host audio engine, and the host will obey, delaying the whole output. Previous experience with Cubase LE showed that, at least with certain plugins, once the system finds its limits, increase in memory doesn't help. I don't know if this would be solved by increasing RAM to 2GB or CPU. But, if i add a second FX to the mic (Antares AVOX DUO) latency grows with no previous notice and the system becomes unusable (or not comfortable to use)
